We are excited to announce that 23-24 August marks two significant dates for Ukrainians worldwide: National Flag Day and Independence Day of Ukraine!
Join us in celebrating these momentous occasions filled with vibrant culture, patriotism, and unity. We invite everyone to participate in the festivities and show solidarity with Ukraine.
23 August – National Flag Day

A stunning 20-metre-long Ukrainian flag will be marched through Finikoudes. The procession will begin at Anchor Heart and proceed to European Square, symbolizing Ukraine’s enduring strength and resilience.

24 August – Independence Day Concert

On August 24 at 19:30, a festive concert will take place at the Molos seafront park in Limassol, on the occasion of Ukraine’s Independence Day.
This national holiday unites Ukrainians all over the world, regardless of distance and borders. The celebration will bring together the Ukrainian community of Cyprus as well as friends of Ukraine.
The program includes performances by Ukrainian artists as well as friends of Ukraine. The event will be held in both Ukrainian and Greek.
During the event, a charity lottery will be organized, with proceeds directed to support Ukraine. In addition, for the first time, a Ukrainian charity bookcrossing will take place, where visitors can bring Ukrainian books and exchange them for others. Creative workshops (master classes) will also be held, with participation through donations.

Celebrate Ukrainian Independence Day with Ukrainian artists from 20 countries!

Live online broadcast of the international project “Symbols of Identity.”
Artist Lyolya Filimonova, one of 27 participants, will create a traditional block-printed towel LIVE, using her own hand-carved stamps to share her Cypriot-Ukrainian story. The other 26 artists will join us online.
